Most people, including christians have been fooled into thinking that the promised land was only for the "jews".

For those who believe in whatever version of the bible they chose, the promise is to ABRAHAM and his decendents NOT just jews... (decendants of Judah?).

This includes those who are now arabs, christians, muslims, communists....

Look, the trick here is not to toss the baby with the bathwater.
Sure organized religions are all scams. They offer "pie in the sky" for us poor "believers" enduring indignities, suffering and abuse on Earth.
They all do, and not just the Book religions (Jews, Christians and Muslims). Buddhists, Taoists (don't quibble), Confusionists ... any religion that has professional priests. Sooner or later, when a religion becomes organized and starts using full-time priests, the priests (charged with running the scam) will realize that their "flock" is selfishly holding on to some personal wealth and will further realize that they can gain access to that worldly wealth by stressing its unimportance in the "great perspective" of eternal bliss.
This is not to say that all priests are corrupt, thieving, self-aggrandizing charlatans; some of them are actually so stupid that they can't see the real goal of their dogma - perpetuation of a scam to separate the flock from the fleece ... forever and ever, amen.
It's kind of sad, really, when the admirable practicioners are the stupid ones. Isn't it?
The philosophy of many religions is wonderful and encourages good social behavior (which is not "natural" to us hairless apes, by the way) The philosophy urges us to be kind, generous, good, industrious, cooperative, not to kill our neighbors or sleep with our children or steal from the poor, etc..
The problem is that the cosmology - the view of how the universe operates - was concocted by a bunch of primitive mystics and while agreeing with reality in some regards (after all, they were trying to explain the same planet!), they are no more accurate than the blind men describing the elephant ... they just did not have the informational background to do a good job of explaining how things work. So they made stuff up.
Oh, they were good explainers ... and what they couldn't explain, they attributed to God/Gods, and told their followers that the rest would come clear "later." Take it on faith, my son.
Basically, Moses and Abraham and Jesus and Mohammed and the Buddha and Kung Fu Tse and all the others were more or less good philosophers, but they were pretty bad scientists, attempting to describe a universe that mystified and terrified them (and everyone else around at the time they lived).
Organized religion perpetuates the bad science promulgated by bad scientists, and makes the good philosophy of basically good men hard to swallow. The trick is to separate the two, and not let a bad system prevent you from absorbing the good information it also contains.
I hope this helps.

elementary, the xtians and the muslims are attempting to stake a declare on that which isn't rightfully theirs. God of course gave the Promised Land to his chosen people - the Jews. the xtians from Israel (traditionally) could have some small declare however the others who joined from different worldwide places or geographic factors are no longer of the chosen people. The muslims descend from Ishmael, the bastard son of Abraham and consequently does no longer inherit something in any respect. in spite of everything, his mom exchange into purely a mistress. Hagar and Ishmael have been solid out with no longer something. the two the xtians and the muslims despite if, won't be in a position of stand the possibility that they could be (are) incorrect and heretical. they beat all people excessive with their plagiarised "holy books" and assume that in the event that they shop asserting that this is acceptable, this is going to alter into suitable. of direction, in the event that they kill all people who disagrees with them, then there'll be no dissent. in the previous, the xtians did that yet thankfully grew up somewhat and realised that that they had finally end up with a war they could no longer win. that ought to, of direction happen lower back if the surviving fundamentalist crackpots do no longer awaken to fact.

This is why i don't like organised religion ,do as i say and you will be saved in the afterlife . why don't they make this life better for all while we are here alive .The churches could end so much poverty and suffering with the amount of assets they have wouldn't that be a more godly thing to do. Than promises of a wonderful afterlife.

The underlying principle of this statement is that we all are pilgrims in this world. This world is not a permanent place for us. We are travelling. There is a better place for us after we are through here. Its not a questions of Jews or others. Its for everyone who believes on Jesus as their personal Savior. This is not for Christians alone. The promises of God are for everyone who claims them.

Most people have been led to believe that there's a better place that some people go to after they die! But honest to God, nobody has died and come back to tell us if such place really exists....and still almost all people, not only Christians believe in their own ideas of an afterlife paradise....who knows really..
