The lengths I'll go to, to have a best answer. I fell asleep watching TV and when I woke up, I was glad it wasn't past time to answer this question. I think I'm number 40, so it will be interesting to see if there are any more answers to this question.
I was searching for questions to answer about strategies for getting a best answer, so I'll have to add to my list: Get up in them middle of the night, if you have to!
On that subject, I'm starting to think the number one strategy is to check your answers when they go to vote -- to be sure there's at least one vote before the voting period is over. It would be funny if I came back to this question and cast the single deciding vote! I think more than half my best answers are single vote winners.

Update: I finished the answer and just as I did, I was going to go to bed -- I am really tired, but I thought, that was fun, I want to do some more. Then -- I'm tired, I have to go to bed. Then -- well, maybe just enough to see if I win this BA! Funny what Answers! will make you feel, huh?
