Hey Keops,
I grew up thinking that I was Bi. I liked both equally, but society at the time found same sex attraction to be immoral and in most states, illegal. As time went by, I found myself not having sex with women as much as I was with men (AIDS). Now, I will only have anal/vaginal sex with a lover, no casual things.
But, now, I do consider myself GAY. But I don't think it is the attraction (Sexual vs. Emotional), I think it is more about who do I want sitting next to me -- saying nothing -- 30 years from now.
Mostly, I think it doesn't matter, it's a label. I think you can be Gay and love an opposite sex (even if it's a Will & Grace thing) --Or Bi and with the same sex, and develop a crush on a opposite sex.
Do you consider yourself Gay or Bi? You are the only judge/jury on this one.
Hope this helps, a little, at least.
James
P.S. I have to argue with Sandy on this one. Once again it is semantics:
Gay = Homosexual
Bi = Bi-Sexual
So sexual is used in both words, so you can't follow your words to a logical answer, sorry.

You are bisexual. I am able to be emotionally and physically attracted to both. But in my book if it is a need to express your sexuality to both genders you are still bisexual.
People get hung op on the term bisexual because in the straights eye any sexual attraction to the same sex is gay and to the gays you will just be in denial if you don't completely shun the opposite gender.
I say bull crap. My desire for an emotional and physical connection to a man is not denial of the love and physical need I have for my wife. I will not deny that anymore than I will deny that the desire exist for men.
Don't get hung up on a label I am not gay I am g0y but I still Identify as bisexual. If you must have a label pick one that you are comfortable with and use it with the conviction that it is right because it is right for you.

You are not bisexual if you're thinking that way, the mind and body are different things.
Bisexuals are attracted to girls and guys in an emotional way as well as sexually. There is more to a relationship then sex. If you only want sex from somebody then you are sexual curious about them but not really attracted to the person, so you are not bisexual. Many bi people look at who the person is first then which sex they are.

I consider myself bi. Because I am attracted to both, but I could only really live, or have a relationship, with a woman. To my way of thinking, men are for fun. Emotionally, it doesn't work w/them. I need my *home* to be with a girl. Luckily, my gf feels the same way.
OMG, I cannot believe "starrwoode" thinks sex is NOT emotional. I completely disagree. With my girl it's all love. Love is an emotion, let us not forget.

I'm the same way. I don't want a GF like I want a BF, but every now and then, I'll still find a girl attractive sexually. It rarely happens, but it still dose happen, so I'm not just gay. I've just decided that I'm Bi, but prone to a relationship with another guy, because one with a girl isn't as appealing.

If the attraction goes so far as to bring you to having sex with both, I'd say you are bi. If you simply can look at an attractive person of the opposite sex and say "wow" I think youre still gay.
I'm very gay, but I can get off on str8 porn, for instance. I don't think that makes me bi.

You're SEXUALLY attracted to both SEXES and are EMOTIONALLY attracted to one GENDER. (sex is between the legs, gender is between the ears). If we wanna talk SEMANTICS, then being gay is " a same SEX orientation" and you are SEXUALLY attracted to both, so that would make you bi, SEXUALLY speaking, however, if you go based on EMOTIONAL AND SEXUAL attraction, then you would be gay (if we're talking about a man and a man or a woman and a woman) or you'd be straight if your SEXUAL and EMOTIONAL attraction is to that of the OPPOSITE sex.

Be what you want to be. Be Free. Many people irregardless of how they define their sexual orientation find both men & women attractive. It is the reason that models are used to sell products. Why wear a label? Americans are hung up on labels. In many South American countries as in Japan before Christianity took root, it was considered fine if a middle aged man with wife & family had/has a younger male playmate and no one seeks to hang a tag on them, it is simply understood, "oh, him, he's his friend."

I would consider you bi. almost no one is exactly 100% gay or 100% straight. On the kinesy scale, you would probably score like a 5, which is you like guys more, but still like girls somewhat.
