Yeah, it started bleeding for a couple days and wouldn't stop. I had to spend $300 to stitch up the hole. What a pain.

I'm scared of needles and I got it pierced, actually, Let me rephrase that, I was stupid and I just did it myself on an impulse and i swear it hurt like hell:-( I'm just thankful that I'm still alive and didn't die of an infection or something. But then it was fine after a couple of days, but don't try this at home. I think I was possessed to do it myself. O yeah and keep the zippers away from the ring, a friend's navel got ripped off cos she got her zipper stuck in it some how. Don't mean to scare you, just be careful, and get it done by a professional. Best of Luck. Take care.:-)

I have not gotten my belly button pierced, BUT my sister has, and she'd tell you to run the other direction!

She said it hurt like a mother, she had it for a while, it got infected, she got rid of it, tried getting it re-pierced after it closed up, and... now she says it's not worth all the crap she's been through over a piercing.

Soo, maybe you should try the magnetic type of earrings. So it looks pierced, BUT it's NOT permanent, there is no pain, and no nasty infections!

i got mine done about 2 years ago and it wasn't painful at all....

it felt like someone had pinched me for a second-and i'm not too fond of needles either. it was quick too-i was surprised at how easy it was. just make sure you follow the after-care instructions-keep and clean and soak it exactly as you're told to and u should have no problems

just make sure you choose a place that has all of their supplies in sterile containers. the needle should be wrapped in it's own plastic sterile wrapper and should NOT be opened until right before they go to use it. and make sure the person doing it is wearing gloves to protect you from infection

No, it just hurts awhile afterwards, don't be afraid is the main thing, just think you've never really heard of anyone DYING or getting seriously injurged from a belly button piercing unless they didn't take care of it

But I am sure you will, good luck :)

I got mine pierced when i was 17. It didnt hurt me my stomach just felt a bit tight. It bleed just a little bit but after a day or two it got better. It gets a bit hard to stand up straight and never sleep on your stomach. Its never been infected for me but i clean it regulary. My advise is get it if you want but take care of it seriously makesure you never pull on it cause that will hurt.
Good Luck.

Dont worry, if you can handle the pain of an ant bite or a long pinch then get 1.
