...it is SO hot in JHB today! I am sweating!!! What is the weather like in other parts of the country? They said we are getting a cold front from CT, but let's hope they were wrong! I want to enjoy the last bit of African sun before I leave.

Where in JHB are you Kim? I am in Sandton and it was so flippin hot! I had shorts and sandals on. But then in the evening it got col. I am loving my time in SA. Visiting my family and catching up has been great. Will be sad to go.
Porgie, the weather in Korea reminds me of the weather in Japan. It used to get so humid! And then winter was so cold! Having 3 showers a day in summer was the norm!

I am cold in JHB today! This is cold weather compared to what our summer is like. It is though a wonderful July day today! We always get stupid cold fronts from Cape Town but like you said, lets hope the weather service is wrong!!

Hey glynis18!
I know you asked about other parts of SA, but I thought I'd say hello and tell you that Korea is a heater turned on high!
It's been so hot and humid here, we have to eat out all the time. Just to be near an air con. You can't cook, it's too damn hot!
And with the monsoon season here, it's a total mess. I mean one day it'll be raining cats and dogs and cool off. But the very next day, you wake up in a pool of your own sweat!
Just last week I walked in a rainstorm that caused floods. Water came up to ones knees. The next day was a mess with subways under water and such, but the worst of all was the fact that the sun made "ting" on your head.
How about that for freak weather?

Yeah it has been hot today!
Im in Pretoria and I have been inside all morning under the aircon with a jersey (part of the eskimo fan club) and when I went outside I nearly died!

ya, i hear it's supposed to be flippin' cold in Gautengaleng...but i wouldn't know because i'm in australia and it gets damn hot! I just think the weather is going a bit weird.
