i work in trauma icu and i've seen patients with blood sugar as high as 1000-but they usually don't survive-the body is in insulin shock at this point and the person slips into a coma and passes away.

when the blood sugar rises that high-the pancreas has shut down completely and the rest of the body's organs begin to fail as well....

I have seen it as high a 450. Blood sugar that high is putting the person with it in a seriously dangerous health position.Seek medical help immediately.
