No show. Dave should be the frontman, and that's that.

Van Halen has never been the same since David Lee Roth left the group. I know I havent liked them much since. Went to several concerts with DLR, but 0 without.

It's been YEARS now since I've seen these guys, but I've seen them MANY times, starting in '76. We're all the same age - and I used to see them 30 YEARS AGO at all the L.A. clubs, etc.; even at a few private parties, in fact. I must have seen them at LEAST a dozen times or more before they even got a record deal!
Having met them all personally, I can tell you this. Eddie is a SNOB. Once, when he started acting all "uppity" with me, I said, "Oh, COME OFF IT, Eddie! Tell me a few years ago you wouldn't have just WET YOUR PANTS to meet.....Jimmy Page!" He got all flustered, then responded by saying, "No, ERIC CLAPTON maybe, but NOT Jimmy Page!" Ha! It WAS kinda funny at the time! (This conversation took place in San Diego, '81)
David Lee Roth was - and probably still IS - so sarcastic, arrogant & full of himself it ain't even funny. He's a raving egomaniac, and I can still remember him STRUTTING around like he thought he was God's gift to the universe - even BEFORE they were famous, I used to wonder who the HELL does he think he IS????! I met him a few more times AFTER Van Halen became famous, as well, and it was always the same thing.
I barely crossed paths with Alex, so I can't comment on his personality. In '86, I BRIEFLY met Sammy Hagar, and he seemed decent enough. He let me take a REAL good picture of him!
The ONLY member of this band that went out of his way to make fans feel comfortable & important was the bass player, Michael Anthony. HE was a real sweetheart!!!!
As for this new guy, I have NO IDEA who he is, but I think they might as well just hang it up & move on if they can't reconcile with either of their FORMER lead singers! Personally, I think there are too many EGO problems within the group for them to maintain any long-term association.

He wasnt.
Alot of people blame Roth, but maybe Eddie is the dificult one. having a Dutch/Indonesian blood like Van Halen makes him a workaholic and doesnt fit Roth German/American Rock Ya face attitude! lol
I love Jamie's Crying, Aint Talkin Bout Love....
Old Van Halen reminds me of my older borther records 1976 Scorpions Virgin Killer album
