Oh good god... please don't give the US any more jurisdiction on territory.... and in any case, why would they want it, no real natural resources, water, oil, gas etc....

I do have a better idea, gather up all of the Israeli's, put them on big planes and fly them to the US and allow them to settle there. Then we return the land back to the Palestinian people and let them get on with it.

Because it is Defensive maneuvering.

For years and years suicide bombs have exploded, cafes have exploded, even college campus's have had bombs set off. All this has killed innocent people in Isreal. Hezbollah began this mess, and Isreal is trying to end it.

Isreae has had enough of it, and they are standing up for themselves. They are protecting there country, there rights and freedoms. They are letting the terrorists of hezbollah and other terroist organizations that enough is enough, and they will not put up with it. The three Israeli troops being abudcted crossed the line for Israel.

I will be honest though, I think Isreal is takeing a little far. Although everything I said earlier is the reason for this, they need to know exactly were hezbollah locations are ... not just random fireing into areas they think might contain hezbollah supporters. But I still think they are doing the right thing. They are trying the best they can to avoid killing innocent civilians in Lebanon. But in a war, unfortunatly no matter who modern the worlds weapons become, they will never be able to avoid innocent people.

But of course, it's always our fault isn't it? Notice how the US is being blamed for this? How can we possibly be blamed for this when we had nothing to do with this. We didn't start this. We didn't created this. Israel gets along with our government, and if the surronding countries near Isreal don't like that, then that needs to be Isreal's problem. Of course the bulk of the problem is the Arab/Jew problems that have been on going for thousands of years. But a lot of it definatly has to do with the fact that Israel is pally pally with the United States.

When planes smashed into buildings in five years ago in New York and Washington, we eliminated the Taliban. That was not terroism. That was self defense. The planes hitting the buildings was terroism. Why? Because the United States never did anything to give any one a reason to do that. It happened because there are people out there who hate our lifestyle. They hate our freedom, the hate out quality of life and they hate our government.

If buse's started blowing up here in the USA, and suicide bombers were blowing up stores, and we found the source of it we would eliminate the source as self defense, to protect the people of this nation. Isreal is doing exactly that. They are eliminating the source that is causing un-called for havoic in Israel.

By the way, the BBC as well as Canadian media networks consider what Israel is doing as "defensive maneurvering", why? because that's what it is. Your clever question dosen't fool any one, you have hidden a political statement within a question. If you hate the United States, and want to blame us for everything ... keep it to yourself. We hear enough of it every day and we get the point. We have gotton the point that half the world hates us since the dawn of time.

The Middle East conflict has now entering into a new phase ,as Art of War applies ,where two hands clapped not always the same hand taking the initiative ,and in this case it needs two adversaries to make the war and engage the battle .

As far as strategy is concerned Israel is on the defensive ,the US is right ,that is why some if not most of the Muslim countries who are sympathetic to Palestine and Arab struggle in Middle East described Israel heavy incursions into Lebanon as "excessive" not act of aggression .

Strike your enemy when and where least unexpected and unprepared, and stkre hard deep into the hinterland , paralyse their mobility and cripple their defence system ,and wreck their morality , one blow for two birds or three birds ,and at the same boost your own moral to the new heights in the course of it .

Judging from the happenings surrounding the scenario and the momentums since the Israeli "defensive" ,Israel are now at the upper hand of the warfare ,and the how the rebellious and aggressive looking Iranian president and his sprinter groups gather to react , might have an permanent bearing to how the peace formula of East Asia going to work out ,but before that happen ,How the Us redefine her strategy in grasping the golden opportunity of the "defensive" but continue with the same interest ,would also determine how Israel is going to fetch advantageously in the war /peace solution ,now gaining momentum!

Simply because Hezbollah isn't innocent in this conflict. Unfortunately, it's the Lebanese who have to suffer because of that.

Hezbollah is as responsible for this conflict as the Israelis. Hezbollah operates in southern Lebanon. Hence, most of this tragedy is going to take place there. It's the same reason that the American Civil War took place primarily in the southern states - that's where the perceived enemy is.

Terrorists illegally took Israeli soldiers captive, and the Israeli government dramatically overreached in its response to that. Thus we have this situation as it has been playing out.

In my own opinion, only a worldwide diplomatic response (along with a peacekeeping force comprised of NATO/European, Russian, and Middle Eastern country troops) will end the conflict - neither side as they currently exist could possibly win. Israel has the military might, but Hezbollah has the continually replenishing numbers. The rest of the world must step in or we will see more stories of Lebanese families burned alive in bombing raids and Israeli children blown apart in rocket attacks and IED ambushes.

On a side note, It should be pointed out that Iran probably bears a good deal of the responsibility for this situation - Hezbollah is ostensibly an independent organization, but their higher ups respond to requests from the Iranian government with zeal - and the timing of this unrest - while the rest of the world is demanding Iran give up its nuclear program - is far more than suspiciously convienient for that nation.

American press, American senators, everyone who is worried about getting re-electing or holding a public office would rather hold hands with the devil than criticize anything Israel does.

Criticizing Israel is like criticizing Jews which immediately draws severe condemnation from AIPAC, which leads to being labeled an anti-semite, Holocaust denier, and soon border-line-terrorist.

Does anybody know the percentage of Jews working in the media, and then compare it to their population percentage in the US. I think their percentage is greater than their population percentage. Does it matter??? Well, it does seem to matter doesn't it?

Befor somebody yells at me, it is well known that a higher percentage of male blacks are in prison than their white counterparts. Thankfully, I'm not running for any elections, phew!

Another one of these...
The Jews have been the most hated group of people in the world for the last 2000 years. Filthy radical Islamists have been killing and kidnapping innocent Jews since the 1940's because the only thing they know is how to hate, so the Jews are fighting back. You're an idiot.

1) Because Israel is responding to attacks from Lebanon.

2) Because they are moving slowly and carefully not to target civilians, including informing populations of incoming attacks and giving them a chance to flee. Hezbollah likes to encourage civilian death on both sides, by targeting civilians (like blowing up a public bus) and by putting rocket launchers and military bases in civilian areas.

3) Hezbollah has a mandate from heaven to destroy Israel. Moslems have more political and economic freedom in Israel then in any Arab nation.

I'm American, and I believe that it's at least partially our fault. We need oil, and the Middle East has it.

We need to invent an alternate fuel, then get the heck out of the Middle East. Then the local population can go back to throwing rocks at each other all they want.

Primarily because as M. A. Jinnah said:

"Isreal is the illegimate child of the west."

Secondly, because the USA wants Isreal to be dominant in the region. As you can see in the map, Isreal is located just between many Arab countries. So constant trouble in the region means slowing the Arab's progress. Slowing progress means desperation and desperation means the Arabs selling their oil cheaply to thier biggest customer..... the US.

In intelligent plot I must confess.

Here's a clue: Nobody here cares. Nobody identifies with Israel anymore. Palestine? Most Americans don't even know WTF that is. There is ALWAYS fighting in the middle east, and nobody cares anymore. It's sad. Women, children, and brainwashed men are dying on both sides and the lot of us couldn't care less. If I could put you both in a bubble until you were either dead or worked it out, I would. I just don't care anymore. Many happy returns.
