Windows security center is the SP2 program. It is very important that you do not uninstall it. It provides the protections against infections due to flaws in Windows OS. The only thing you should have to do is turn off the Windows Firewall. You should only do this if it is causing a conflict with the firewall of your new package. I use 2 firewalls. The Windows Firewall and a firewall in my DSL modem. I have no conflicts or problems with them. They both work great. If your package is telling you to unstall the Windows Security center then you should not use it. There should not be a problem with your Package and the SP2.

To turn off the windows firewall go to the Control Panel>Security Center>Windows Firewall>dot the radio button to turn it off. (Not recommended).

If you insist in unstalling the SP2 then go to Microsoft.com or the Microsoft Udate site. In the search bar at the top put Uninstall SP2. It will link you to instructions on removing it.

Update and tell me what Protection Package you are using.
