For those who dont know, gmail is email provided by GOOGLE, it has a friendlier interface than yahoo, and better spam protection

Why would you bother? Invites are not hard to come by these days, as most people know someone who has it. Gmail replenishes your invites almost daily, so they're not really a "hot" commodity.
To others reading this, you should watch giving out your email address to those you don't know.

UPDATE
I had 25 gmail invites when I first joined and used about 15 of them. Just a month or so ago, I noticed I had 50 invites. So I used a few more here and there. Today, I still have 50 invites.
It might not replenish them daily, but it's close. Point is you get them back.
