I don't know if yahoo does it...but gmail scans all your emails and looks for words that will indicate what products or services that might interest you. That is turned over to advertisers and you get emails and pop up ads specifically geared...according to them....on what you mentioned in your emails. That's scary.

Yahoo mail has served me very well for 7 years. My yahoo account is too well known to all those I care to communicate.
I started when hotmail was the other option - yahoo was far superior. Yahoo is an account and not just a mail - Dude, this forum is provided by yahoo with one login account which YOU are using.
Stability and reliability are the factors. Yahoo is always adding values exceeding the competitors.
No question of changing to gmail - rather open a new account in gmail in addition.
By the way please check your grammer and spellings. They SUCK.

You don't just switch to gmail. Gmail chooses you. If you aren't a member, then you obviously aren't ready for the awesomeness that is Google Mail.

I agree I check my Yahoo e-mail like once a week. Gmail notifier rules.
