It recognizes and burns DVDs fine. It recognizes already burned CDs, DVDs and standard software CDs and commercial DVDS. But it's not recognizing blank CDs to burn. Anybody got any clues?

What burning software are you using? Knowing that in the future would help.

Try this:

- Right-click on your DVD burner in "My Computer" and go to properties.

- Go to the "recording" tab and if the option is checked, uncheck it

- Reboot if you made any changes.

If that doesn't help, search on Yahoo! or Google. There are a ton of similar problems out there.
