EEK...Dad may be to lazy to go to the pot, that is soooooooo gross. Tell dad the room smells like pee and its smelling in the house. Or hide the bucket, but beware of that glass that looks like old lemon aid...And on a serious note, tell dad to talk to doc, there is a pill that will make him pee less.

Nothing. He probably has no control. Would you rather he urinate in the bed or on the floor?
If you MUST say something, then ask him to empty the bucket as soon as he's donebecause of health concerns.

If this behavior is not normal for him, I think you better get with his doc and talk about a problem called polypharmacy - an interaction of drugs that can not only cause changes in behaviors but mimic dementia and alzheimer's. Don't just assume this is normal until it is checked out by you and the doctor together with your father...

Explain to him that you understand he might not be able to make it to the bathroom but a bucket is not supposed to be used as a toilet. Tell him you could get a bed side toilet then it would be easier for him to remember to empty and will be high enough that no one will trip over it.

Tell him to stop being lazy and take it outside or use the regular restroom! If he is using the restroom that much it could actually be a problem like dibetes it might not be his medication but they also make medication for urinating frequently.

Would you rather have him pee all over the house accidentally ..Don't you think the man is feeling bad enough ..Leave him alone...but do ask if he can ..to empty it...or you can empty it....You are his daughter so help him out. Don't make him feel any worse than he already does..

You should explain to him that doing this poses a severe health hazard to you and your children, and to him, and that if it does not stop there will be serious consequences.
