Give whatever notice you can. You already made the decision to leave your current company, so if they are angry, then they are angry. Most companies would not hesitate to show you the door with no notice whatsoever, so don't feel bad. Take the new job and be happy!

If the new job is better, just start when they want you to.
Here is the way I figure it....
If company intended to let YOU go would giving you two weeks notice be a concern for them?
If company wanted you off the property by lunchtime they would give you your walking papers without a second thought.
Then why is it carved in stone that you have to give them two weeks notice?
Don't be a schmuck.
Take care of number one.
And number one is NOT the company.Give them as much notice as you are able.
If they don't understand.
Tough titty
It might have been something that was a courtesy thirty years ago but not anymore.
Not in this brave new world.

Try to tell them in a nice way. Because leaving a company without any notice makes your boss angry of course.
I don't like to loose people if I have to leave my current job.So tell them about your exact situation ,and if they are good guys they'll leave you to do what you intended to do.
Of course they know that if you want to leave the company, then two weeks won't make any difference.

Talk to your old boss and tell him that you have a new job , but unfortunately it starts right away.
Tell them you will do everything you can to make the transition easier for them, You will work nights and weekends if needed until the new job starts..
Your old boss may still be mad, but at least the last impression you make is that of a person with integrity who cares enough to work with them.
