Liberals hate both the troops and the war. Look at any liberal news media, they do their best to undermine the war effort and only get more troops killed or hurt by doing so. Bill Clinton, our worst president in history next to Jimmy Carter loathed the military. It's probably why he was a draft dodger. Libs have to understand that our troops are fighting for their rights as well as good American's rights. The troops are fighting for the libs freedom to bash the president and our country, abort babies, same sex marriage, etc. any good Americans have any thoughts on this?

I am a Liberal and ex Army and I support my fellow troops but not the reason for the war in Iraq.

By the way, I keep in contact with many Vets in Iraq and most of them are against the war too!

I am a Liberal (about some things) and have been against this war from day one. Most of the people I know in the Bay Area have been against the war from day one. I don't understand why many of the Dem Senators went along with the plan. It was a mistake on so many levels and history will judge GWB harshly for dragging us into this quagmire. You are correct that the vast majority of the US media has branded the war (and Bush's presidency) a failure of epic proportions that will hurt the US for the next 20 years. Perhaps you would prefer a media controlled by the Executive branch?

I haven't heard anyone (ANYONE!!!) come up with a good path forward out of the Middle Eastern quagmire that GWB/Cheney/Rove have gotten us into. The sad truth is that there is no good solution.

I believe that some troops feel that they are fighting for MY freedom in Iraq, but this fuzzy math makes no sense to me and I wish they were back home instead of risking their lives for no benefit. The Iraqi people (the 100K civilians that have been killed in particular) were better off under Hussein than they are now. Anti-American sentiment will continue to grow and the Iraqi citizens will increasingly want us out!

I would love to see some Republicans hold GWBush accountable (Arlin Spector is a rare example), but dissent has never been a trait of the GOP...keep moving in lock step.

I'm so pissed off at Bush/Cheney/Rove that I can't even watch the news anymore. Is no-one else angry about the poor decision making that got us into this?

libs don't want to see american troops killed. that's how they support the troops. they don't like the war because they believe it wasn't needed. reporting on a war isn't undermining it..especially when death squads patrol the streets killing people based on their religious views. speaking out against a war doesn't directly cause more troop deaths...vietnam could have lasted another ten years had not public opinion built up against it so much. there could have been ten more years of fighting in vietnam...the protesters helped save lives. i can't stand when people say clinton hated the military...no high ranking republican has served in the military. clinton help build up the military actually...bush used clinton's military in the fight in afghanistan. waving the flag and calling democrats that oppose the war traitors doesn't make you more patriotic than someone that speaks their mind. the troops wouldn't have to fight for rights in iraq had bush and his administration decided not to invade iraq...where's the wmd...where's the link to osama...where's the flowering democracy? the war in iraq has made america less safe and the middle east more unstable. i feel bad that the troops have to fight such a hard war that they shouldn't have had to fight. i bet a lot of **** is gonna come out in about ten years and everyone will realize how corrupt the bush administration was.

in the previous 9/11 an identical troops that the Liberals choose to hold residing house have been stationed right here interior the U. S.. that did no longer preclude terrorists from bringing down the WTC and killing 3,000 individuals. because of fact the troops have been sent foreign places to combat the terrorists on their homeground, there have been not greater assaults comparable to 9/11. The liberal attitude is that if we aren't making the terrorists offended at us they gained't attack us. they supply the impact of being to forget with reference to the actual undeniable fact that interior the previous, below bill Clinton, we did forget approximately repeated assaults which finally emboldened al-qaeda to devise and carry out 9/11. i'm getting the impact that until those terrorist assaults impact those liberals in my view (like a chum or relative killed as interior the crumple of the WTC) they do no longer particularly care no count if we defeat the enemy or no longer. honestly bringing the troops residing house in the previous the interest is done over there (Circling the wagons mentality) is inviting the conflict to be fought right here on residing house soil.

List your sources, prove all of the above.

Bush is considered the worst president in history according to gallop poll by the brookings institute.

our troops aren't fighting for our rights to bash nutcase Bush. I thought our troops were fighting because Saddam has WMD's? Funny how the story changes after no WMD's were found.

Conservatives have killed more babies during the Iraq war, Afghanistan, and giving weapons to Saddam then all abortions combined.

Don't judge a person's view on the war and the troops by their own political affiliation. I'm a liberal myself, but I support the war and the troops 110%, because I know that we need to kill the terrorist nitwits before they kill us. Plain and simple in my eyes.

And how is Bill Clinton the worst President in history? Because he actually balanced the budget and he actually went after Saddam when Saddam wouldn't let inspectors into the country? Once again, don't judge others based on their political views.

I support the troops by wishing that they return home instead of fighting and possibly dying in a war that makes no sense. President Bush sent these troops to Iraq on false premises, they are not involved in an enterprise that will help protect our nation, as a matter of fact he has made the world a more dangerous place with his irresponsible and precipitous actions.

I have interacted with many people in the military as well as the war in Iraq. Many of them do not support the war and are not even highly opiniated sometimes. It is a career they chose based upon both their needs and abilities. Liberal is not a bad word. I sense a judgmental and uneducated tone in the presentation of this question. Members of certain groups also have varying opinions that are not all the same. It's like judging people for any other reason or prejudiced-based belief systems.

You are make sweeping statements.

I don't hate both the troops and the war. My sister in-law is going over there in two weeks. I support her but I don't support George Bush or his war.

I am an American and because I do not agree with some of your assertions does not make me good or bad.

What makes America great- is Freedom YOu know like Freedom of speech, freedom of choice freedom of association.
Maybe if you could stop thinking like a faschist that would be more supportive of our nation.

Liberals don't care about America or Americans. They just want to please the worthless UN and the equally worthless and pathetic cowards in Europe. It seems Liberals have already forgotten about 9-11. The terrorist want us dead, but Libs rather close their eyes, cover their ears and yell la-la-la-la-la hoping the problem goes away by itself. By the way, Clinton was the worst president. Let's see Oklahoma City, USS Cole, 1st attack on WTC, 2 African Embassies bombed. Shall I go on. What did he do to stop these attacks or keep Al-Qaeda from becoming a dangerous enemy. NOTHING!
