Matter cannot formally be defined as energy.
What can be concluded however, is that we all consist of matter and so we consist of matter in its most living form.
Therefore, we cannot be of the same consciousness, we are individual forms unique in mind and in body.
Wanna know my truth?
We know that everything in existence consists of matter and that matter itself is indestructible. When we once again are reduced to dust, we still continue to live on in matter, and therefore it can be said that we are also indestructible and that our living forms, our bodies, are immortal.
Therefore, eternity exists within us as immortal and indestructible beings and eternity and life should not be seen as two different time periods, but as one ongoing eternal space of time.
We are therfore already living in eternity, and in eternity, death has no place.
I quote from Wilfred Owen's poem, "Death be not proud:"
One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shalt be no more
Death
Thou shalt die
And as Tupac Shakur once said:
"Reality is wrong, dreams are for real."
Hope that answers your question
Peace, love and happiness

Matter is energy condensed to a slow vibration. Science tells us this.
We are one consciousness. We all have the same awareness---it doesn't matter what we are aware of, awareness is the same n it's impersonal despite how it seems. It's pristine, pure and when the dust of objects(thoughts) are wiped clean this oneness n connectedness is known to be the only truth.
There is a death but only of the body. Only a quiet mind is capable of seeing that something remains untouched by the death of the body and this something/nothing is also untouched by any passing phenomena.
Life and death in this way could be called a dream in that we are seeing it through our beliefs and filters. This distorts things and it creates our own ideas of how things are. Life, like suffering n pain and all the rest is very real, it's just not what we "think" it is.

Hey, the statement can't be taken with a pinch of salt. There is a lot of truths that could only be understood sub-consciously. There is no such thing as death. Death as we know it is not real...they are merely an illusion. Just like you are taking a bus to a destination when the bus broke down. You step out of the bus, and take another bus, but you still head your way, to wherever you are heading.

false.
matter is not energy condensed to a slow vibration
we are not all of one conciousness
"of one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively" makes no sense. If we were of one consciousness then I wouldn't have to type this, you would just know it.
Things die all the time. I will die. You too.
I dreamed last night. Then I woke up and wasn't dreaming. Therefore either I died when I woke up or the statement life is only a dream is incorrect.
it doesn't even make sense to say that we are "at the imagination of ourselves." My farts are more profound.

There is something beyond matter and energy, and that is the One who created both of them: God. The consciousness of knowing that you are, that you exist, is a gift. You are an individual with inherently individual characteristics that are yours alone, making you you. Man is given one life to live in this realm, and after that either eternal life or eternal death. Yes, there is death, and that is why Jesus died on the cross in our place, a very real death to make a way for us to escape the downward tendency that was our fate without him. The next realm can be one of perfection and harmony if you love the truth and follow it. Jesus said, "I am the the way, truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father except by me." either he was deluded, crazy, a liar, or right... and your whole future depends on figuring out that simple quandary and coming up with the right answer. Look beyond the piece of art to see the artist; lift your eyes a bit beyond the conflicting opinions about Life to the originator. Complex issues take on simpler form there......

Your first statement is in essence correct: matter can be thought of as energy at a slower vibration. However, energy and consciousness are not interchangeable concepts no matter how many people in the New Age would like to think so. There is no credible evidence to demonstrate that "we are all of one consciousness..." or that "life is a dream."

Wow, that is put so beautifully and succinctly, yet it takes a lifetime to understand it, so just keep it in your heart and let it guide you to your truth, my friend.
Though I believe, if it has come to you that means you are ready for it.

If nobody is dying because this is a dream it's going to be mighty crowded when we all wake up.
