yeah, i have this 4 cup mr. coffee coffee maker, and have had it for years. it makes enough for me, and maybe another person. that's good because i'm usually the only one that drinks coffee around here. i also have an 8 cup and a 20 cup percolator i got at garage sales, you know, the old ones that you put on the stove with the baskets. i got them cheap, and they are good if you need more than 4 cups at a time, but they do make real old fashioned coffee, the kind my aunt used to make.

Hi kat S,
Oh great question!...You are very wise to get outside advice on the purchase of an appliance that probably gets used everyday!
Oh yeah...coffeemaker. The Tassimo Hot Beverage Maker (about $169.00) Very popular and sexy!
Or...any good coffee maker with the least amount of moving parts to clean.
Or...I never get tired of using my French coffee press! OMG! Makes the best coffee when done right and is really my personal choice. (Get one with gold plate if possible, as it doesn't taint the natural flavor of the coffee's oils.)
by the way...will you pleez pick this as best answer. U R sweet if u do! thin-Q vry mch!

Gevalia is a good brand and if you buy a subscription to get their coffee, they will send you a FREE coffee maker.

The brand isn't the only thing that matters.I would make sure you can clean the whole thing easily, including where you put the water in.I had to throw my last one away because something got in that part, and I couldn't get it out. That really sucked! Easy cleaning is now first on my priority list.
