Try death!

The things that were a bit of a thrill just don't do it for you any more? I know this is going to sound kind of weird but the devil loves to give us a buzz on anything that will take our focus away from things that can truly make us happy. But the buzz is a come-on, once you think "if I keep doing it, it will feel that good again sometime" he can keep you doing it. Oh, some people don't think the devil exists? Try spending some time resisting him and see what a living hell your life turns into.

Now I'll get cliché: try God. He wanted people he could relate to, he wanted kids, and humans are his kids. Imagine the most good, loving father, wonderful, awesome God you can imagine. Yep, that's Him, the epitome of good. Hay, he gave you free will! The enemy wants to take that away from you, dangle a little "high" in front of you, like a carrot, to make you do what he wants. I know that you don't mean you got high on drugs, you got high on life. I've been there, done that and also, done the other. Try seeing a sunset with it's creator's arm around you, and yes He gives hugs, cause He is totally real. I know some will correct me and say She, but honestly, it's hard to think of God with equipment that would make him male or female, so we try not to make God fit our image of Him. God is good, if you want to know the rest don't get hung up on words, like he or she, get to know the person. I'm not an expert on religions but I found one that removes all my bad karma, the only one where I can't buy my way or earn my way into heaven, and that's Christianity. And that's how I met God. It works for me, but that may not be your path. I've had the other highs, not too many that I haven't tried. Comparing any one of those highs to the high you get from God is like comparing the thrill of a toddler's teeter-totter to the whole of Disney World. That's an understatement, but you get the picture. And the best part is you just keep getting higher the closer you keep you heart to His, it doesn't get old. Don't let the Sunday christians give God a bad name, there are some people in churches that are really into Him, and there are some churches where most of the people are really into Him. And don't let anyone tell you that high is only when you first get "saved", I know old people that have that better-than-just-saved high almost every day of their life. Why not every day? Satan is always working to ruin it for you. Satan used to be just an angel, one of God's servants, that is until he got a bad attitude and wanted everybody to do things his way. As if we were a bunch of robots, of all the nerve! We are God's kids, and that is much better than an ex-servant gone bad.

Anyway, getting high on life is greatly enhanced when it's creator is in your heart. There really are no words to describe the rush.
