cattle feed corn is a variety called dent corn. That variety is very widely grown and used solely for feeding animals. It is not sold for human consumption. People eat other corn varieties like e.g. peaches and cream and many others. Including a special variety for popping corn. which has a high moisture content.

If you mean field corn and sweet corn, the starch content of the kernals.

FIELD CORN WILL BE PRETTY CHEWY IF YOU EAT IT FRESH, ALTHOUGH A FARMER FRIEND OF MINE HAS EATEN IT WHEN IT WAS VERY YOUNG, WAY BEFORE IT WAS READY FOR HARVEST. NOT MY FAVORITE. MOST FIELD CORN IS USED FOR FEED BUT A PERCENTAGE OF WHAT IS HARVESTED IS ALSO PROCESSED AND USED FOR SWEETENERS, CORN STARCH AND CEREALS,ETC. SWEET CORN IS OBVIOUS. I THINK IT HAS A MUCH BETTER TASTE.
