Because they don't want justice to be served, they know that israel is not a legitimate state, and if they wanted to house jews they had to use their own land not take away the land of Palestinians, so they basically want to support Israel so that Israeilis don't move back to where they belong. Other wise Israel has no benefit for them

Many people do, however the media is controlled predominantly by jewish groups and no negative report about Israel will be let through.

Israel is an illegal colony established by evicting original residents from their homes. Hence, until that injustice is undone, the crisis will continue. Israel's political system is theocratic and its highest laws are judged by religious courts known as rabbinical courts. This is no different from Iran where mullahs rule. The present form of Israel must be dissolved, a new greater nation created where all people (christians, muslims and the jews) live with equal rights. However, US is the major defender of Israel owing to the strong jewish influence and until this situation changes Israel will have its way just about in any violent action.

To assert that Hezbollah captured two soldiers and that is "terrorism" is pure ignorance. Soldiers are fair game in a war, while terrorism is mainly against innocent people. Israel holds thousands of Palestinians indefinitely without trials or other fair POW treatment. I don't hear a whimp from anyone questioning that but if Hezbollah captured two israeli soliders they freak out.

Point is, the "captured 2 soldiers" is a smokescreen for this large scale operation which was planned long ago.

Oh, they care all right. But that's why you call it politics: you think one thing and say another.

You could have said the same thing about the Iraq war, where there was plenty of opposition. Only there was a solid majority block, so it was easy to voice your opinion.

Voicing an opinion now might cost them bonus points with the US and Israel, not to mention within the EU, where everybody is more concerned with trade relations than doing the right thing.

Last but not least, Europe in its way has little credibility. They have financed civil wars (most notably in the Congo) over natural resources for the longest time now, so it's easy to overlook other people's crimes when you're a criminal yourself. Those are the basic rules of politics.

Because of all the crimes that terrorists have committed against Israel. If someone was rocketing Miami, or any American city, we would do the exact same thing. The Lebanese people should turn against Hezbollah and turn them into the peacekeepers. That will stop attacks against Hezbollah bases, which are in civilian neighborhoods. Hezbollah is the reason that innocent people die, remember this.

i myself think that the response that israel has shown is overboard and totally out of scale with what hezbollah has done. hezbollah was wrong to kidnap the soldiers, but they are not and do not represent the majority of the people in lebanon. they are a militant resistance and not the government and the general population is suffering hugely because of damage to infrastructure, disproportionate numbers of civilians dead in lebanon compared to israel and dwindling food and fuel in the country. hezbollah needs to be eradicated from lebanon in the country's interest but this is not the way to do it...too many innocent people are paying the price.

Crime? What is the crime?
Why have the Lebanese harbored Hezbollah, allowed them into parliament there for years and not put a stop to terrorist activity?
If a group of Canadien militia, crossed the border, killed 3 American soldiers and kidnapped 2 others; do you know what this country would scream for?

Hezbollah committed the crime, Israel is responding to the Islamo-facist criminal activity. The Arab countries should be attacking Hezbollah in concert with Israel. The Arab world has a cancer.... Israel is apparently the only doctor in town.

I sympathise with you about the death and distruction that is happening in Lebanon/Israel. And I understand most of the destruction has happened in Lebanon. Will you please help get rid of terrorist groups like Hezbollah so this land can live in peace? One day, I would like to visit the homeland of my ancestors. Palestines deserve a homeland and so does Israel. Here in America, our motto is "live and let live", and we prosper. Maybe you would be too, if you lived by this motto.

Because terrorists are a bunch of coward bitches aiming for the innocent. Lazy bums who don't want to get real jobs and love to be ignorant as an excuse. They begged to face Israeli soldiers in battle and where are they now? Hiding behind civilians...again. Coward Bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

There are two sides to every story. Why isn't Lebanon's kidnapping Israeli pilots given an equal tongue lashing?
