Yes! I have been ripped off by about 5 people out of about 100 purchases. I paid the person and they deregistered from ebay and never sent me anything including a refund or the product I paid for. Ebay have a policy to cover insurance although it ends up being higher than what I paid for the items (less the postage) meaning I could not claim and lost out on about $200 all up. (5 purchases)

I have given up on them. I put in complaints and they did nothing.

If I wanted to be ripped off I would just leave my wallet lying around for some local fool to take.

Cheers

I have issues about Ebay too that I am not happy about:
1. High listing and end value fees especially Paypal
2. They cannot retrieve or refund fully the money you paid to a seller who doesn't deliver or ship items which are not as described.
3. Few choices to the number of selling days (1,3,5,7,10 days).
