It was a ODI between India and Australia. i don't remember the year, but i have to explain it to my son and prove it that i am right.

yes he did...it was 1997...what is the problem in running 5? u must have seen atleast 10 dozens of times that batsmen run four between the wicket in australian grounds....5 is so easily possible as a filder might have fumbld the ball so the batsmen had the chance to run 5 instead of 4...there was an incident when some baatsmen run 6...that was in a first class match!!

yes he can. After he hits the ball, he runs for two or three then the fielder throws the ball and misses the stumps and might even go all the way for a boundary. Then the batsman gets all the runs.

Yeah, he did
while he made three runs, there was a over throw, and he got two more runs.
this is not strange.
