The US Gallon is equal to 4.54 literes or 1 lit will be 0.22 gallon.

1 liter = 1.06 quarts US
1 liter = 0.88 quarts UK

So for a rough calculation you can take a quart for a liter but it's not completely correct.

its pretty close. a liter is like .26 gallons and a quart is .25 gallons. so unless youre REALLY picky, you can call it even
