I am a true blue Yankee fan, but I have to admit, I just love how Manny plays so effortlessly, fielding, hitting. He even runs like he's taking a leisurely jog.
What do you guys think? Love him or hate him and why?

Missouri Tasy makes some good points. I'd never thought of him as lazy, but maybe I'm wrong.
Still fun to watch, though. : )

I'm a Sox fan and as frustrating it is to see him standing at home plate staring at a single off the wall, or having a bottle of water in his back pocket out in left (maybe he thought the green monster was thirsty?) or his demands to be traded every year...how can anyone not enjoy watching him play the game...i'm sure much of it's natural talent, but how often do you hear how hard he works at what he does? I hear it a lot from a bunch of different players, managers, analyst, etc...even if you don't like him, you have to tip your cap to him

So you love that he doesn't run his fullest and he just jogs when he is suppose to be running? Most people call that lazy and a lack of hustle.
I like Manny, but i hate how the media hypes him up. Like the one catch he made that everyone made a big deal about and said that is the catch of the year. The catch wasen't even that good for catch of the year. It was good, but i've seen so many better ones. (and maybe the reason he had to dive for the catch, was the exact same reason you say you love him. Because he just jogs and then acts like it's an uncatchable hit when in reality if he just hustled it would just be another catch)
He is good though, get the media out of the picture though.

I am also a Yankees' fan. I don't hate anybody, and I don't hate Manny Ramirez. Although I'm not in a position to criticize, Manny can be selfish and really stubborn at times. He lolligags in the field like a llama, he jogs on the basepaths like a dufus, and overall his effort lacks. There's no denying his talent, but he definitely could give better effort.

Well, I'm a Yankee fan to and I have to say, Manny is a good player. The only thing I don't like about him is that when he hits a homerun, he will just stand in the batters box for a while and just admire the homerun he has just hit. That's bad sportsmanship. But, overall, he's a good player.

I have always liked Manny since he came up with the Indians, but he would drive me nuts if I had to manage him. Obviously, he is a great pure hitter (historically good, in fact), but hardly excels at any other aspect of the game, or really knows how to be a good teammate. Still, he has a certain goofy, flaky charm about him.

Manny is alright, hes awesome because he bats behind Ortiz, and hes a good player defensively.Attitude and being humble he has growth to do still.

I love Manny because you enjoys playing, and he is so nasty. He is just a happy guy and people like that, he is in his own world and we wish we were apart of it.
