I sold something off ebay and when I was packaging the item and gave it to the lady at the front desk, I only realised that I didn't sign the 'Dangerous Goods' section this morning. What happens to this package now?

It's posted nationally, not internationally. And the item was only a disc for the Playstation 2. My friend says it will only be sent by courier now, is this true?

If they catch it, they will contact you. If they don't, it will get delivered, hopefully without any incident. It is there responsibility as well as yours to make sure all dangerous goods paperwork is properly filled out, attached, and box is labeled and packaged correctly. Otherwise, large fines can be charged to shipper, and carrier.

If you can, check back with them. You didn't say who you were sending it with. Usually, when there is an error that is caught, it is sent back to the shipper before the carrier sends it further.

Nothing - did you SHIP something that WAS dangerous? If so, then you need to contact the post office to let them know of the error so they can issue a release to the package - it'll mean that the package will probably take longer to get to where it needs.

Also, if the Postal Inspectors take a look and check it, they're maybe legal implications if the items were illegal (as you are aware, some items are not allowed in certain states - like pepper spray, stun guns, or radar dectectors).

Overall, nothing major will happen - it'll probably get shipped back to you and you just have to resend with the proper paperwork.

Nothing happens to the package, but you'll get arrested and have a big fine to pay!
