My husband and I are a mixed couple. Been married almost 25 years, 3 kids, one grandchild, and only small-minded people who don't know us are againist us. All our family and friends don't notice the "colors".
Our Racially mixed kids are:
1. an assistant manager and a father of a wonderful little "mixed" son
2. A extremely intelligent young woman attending Cal
3. A straight A student involved in sports, student council, and music.
What I as a "ppl" think.........all ppl are mixed if you look into anyones geneology. There is not a "color" in our family, just ppl!

I am asian american and have always dated out of my race. I have gotten mixed opinions from family and friends. All of my friends don't think twice about it. However, my extended family thinks that I am making a big mistake because they think that the white girl or chicana that I bring home will never be as good as an asian girl.
My opinion is that if the person is good for you, race should not matter. However, being in a mixed realationship is not a total cake walk. I have gotten into "disputes" with people who have said rude things to me and my girl when we are out in public. It's usually a bunch of drunk hillbillies. Eventhough, their opinions don't mean anything to me, it does cause a little unwanted attention.
I know a lot of mixed people. They seem to be the most grounded and loving people. Also, mixed people tend to be the most beautiful.

I am white... American... and I am dating someone who is native Taiwanese and no less 10 years older than me. I will not say it is simple, but it is wonderful. I love his rich culture, his friends and family. I now have imbursed myself into the Taiwanese and Chinese culture and community here in LA and enjoy it.
I do not regret dating someone who is of a different race and in highschool I sated lots of hispanic boys, the only black guy at my school and guys of different religions. Its a great experience but different attitudes from THAT person because of culture or religion may be expected. But if all that is okay then ignore everyone else (easier said than done huh?)
I have not had a problem except from my mom... but other than that I only deal with other people that are starting to see ME as chinese.. and picking up on racism from others sometimes... but not a direct issue really.
No worries! Enjoy life and date whomever you think you would enjoy dating!

I'm African American, I have two brothers married to white females. I prefer black woman, but I do find other races attractive. I guess it depends on where you re at. In Texas, you see a lot of mixes, Even when I moved to Wisconsin for a while, there was a lot of mixing. When I was in the army, there was a lot o mixing. Where ever you are, get out and see the states. Like I said, I love black woman, but there are some fine and sexy white and Latino woman out there. dont limit yourself.

We are a racially mixed couple he's white I am from Vietnam. I hope any future children will not suffer, I doubt it. No one has ever questioned our relationship. His family treats me like a daughter and my Father has become his best friend. He treats my mother very well, he says it is so good because even though she is older she is still hot LOL. She is still very pretty.
Some people may still criticize, my husband was eating dinner with our friend, she is black with a white father. She is very pretty she has pretty green eyes, she got from her father. A black lady started cussing at her for wearing contacts, trying to act white and being with a white man. Our friend is strong and told her off; but the lesson here is some people are bad but you cannot live your life your please them.

Come to my corner of the world and you will find a whole society of mixed family's. I am from the island of Bermuda and can happily say that it is not only possible but that it is flourishing. Forget any one so intent on there oun missery that they need to take it out on you. If you are happy that is all that counts. And if your nabers can't handel that then come on down here and see how it's done.

I dont have an issue regarding mixed couples.
We are human beings and nationality and/or skin color means nothing.

People might be against it, but people were against ending slavery, against giving blacks equal rights, against different religions, beliefs.
Don't be afraid of the haters and bigots! Tell them to kiss your rear, and be happy with who you love.

I don't have a problem with it. I have dated a couple of black guys...but I think that's about it as far as my 'interracial' relationships. The man I married was another pasty whitey like myself...don't know why that is...just who I ended up with.
