It is important to receive dental care throughout pregnancy. If they are bothering you go see your dentist. Also yes you can take tylenol. They just advise you not to take ibuprofen during pregnancy.

tylenol is safe to take, also using something like Orajel helps relieve the pain temporarily until you can make an appt. to see your dentist. i was in the same predicament as u a few months ago and well, the dentist really can't do anything until they get clearance from your dr. so maybe it's best to talk to your dr. first. call an advice nurse if it gets too bad through the night.

The only pain reliever we can take is the kind with Paracetamol in it. We experience pain in our teeth since our baby needs all the calcium he/she can get, therefore, it is very possible for us to be deprived of it. Sometimes, we not only lose some teeth, our hair starts to fall off as well. Thus, we need to take a regular calcium supplement, plus milk for pregnant moms and calcium-rich fruits and veggies.

When u r pregrant, the fetus/baby gets his nutrients from u. Just imagine, 2 persons getting nutrients from one body system. It is a consequence of being a pregnant. In tking medicines, ask first your pediatrcian as it may harm the baby. Take more food rich in calcium. The baby is taking more of your calcium reqts to develop his bones and muscles. Sacrifice and enjoy the pain, you will be rewarded when u heard the first cry of your baby!

I do understand your pain but its best not take any type of medication without a Dr's prescription or advice when you are pregnant. If you have any kinda ointment just apply it on your cheeks the side your teeth is giving you trouble and get a hot towel and put it on top of your cheek which ever side hurts. It will help.I have done this for my husband and the pain has reduced alot.

tylenol and orajel...Look at all these people telling you to be scared and not take anything for it! Ease yourself, the pain you are in and lack of sleep could cause you high blood pressure and that would hurt the baby more than a regular dose of tylenol.

I had the same problem at times I could not even sleep. Sometimes I would get a cold compress and use that with some Tylenol.

Call your Obstretician ( or maybe some other physician) now if possible. Let them know that you are in pain. they should be able to at least call you back and tell you if you can take any pain relief medicine. You can go to a 24 hr. pharmacy to get it right away, as soon as your dr. returns your call.

Do you have any baby anbesol in the house yet? I did that when I was pregnant with my triplets, the doctor said it was okay. Plus Tylenol does really help.

when i was pregnant, i had an allergic reaction to the prenatal vitamins that i was prescribed.(have bad allergies anyways, food/anything). so he suggested flintstone vitamens. the prenatal vitamins are used for the folic acid, and flinstone vitamins have this. i took 2 aday. as time went on i noticed my teeth start to darken, i was not getting enough folic acid, and because i was pregnant i need more. to end, he put me on another type of prenatal vitamin. i suggest talking to you dr. about folic acid. good luck.
