I'm wondering because I downloaded a bunch and only a certain amount show when I browse through them, and I'm by far a pro at Quake. If there is a limit, is there any way around it??

Sorry, I don't think I spoke very clearly!
I don't see al the maps in the Quake console as I'm chosing a game. It appears due to downloading and extracting so many, that only a certain number will actually show in the console. (IE: Some older ones were booted due to adding new ones, etc.) They are on my hard drive, it's large enough, so that's not an issue.

There is no limit in the game mechanics. Your hard drive size is the only thing that will effect how many maps you can store. To view the remaining space available on your hard drive, go to My Computer->Right Click on your main hard drive (most likely the C: drive)-> Go to Properties...It should be on the first tab.

Hi there,
I found a free download of QUAKE III Arena here: http://bit.ly/1p0Cbkp

Team Arena focused on team multiplayer, as its name implies; it introduced new weapons, bots, maps and powerups, including the infamous Kamikaze.
Check it out.
