The book seemed to think something along those lines. Men and women do have very significantly different thought algorithms and naturally use different methods to solve the same problems. This is evident when certain methods are used to teach computer programming, where the general syntax is taught, but not a formal logic method.

This actually causes some problems in teaching, especially where a field has been dominated by one sex or the other.

As far as the natural question of which method is better, it turns out that some problems are better suited for men, some for women, and many which require elements of each. Those problems suited best for women, men will not do well on, and vice verse.

Upshot of it all is that if you decide that you just don't know how your boyfriend, husband, girlfriend, wife, whatever came up with something, you are more correct than you might think.

Enjoy the differences. They are a lot of fun.

Men from Mars, women from Venus, is just a cute way to say men and women are different. This is true, but not as true as experts would have us to believe. If there is, indeed, a set of "male" genes, that govern male behavior, and a set of female genes the govern female behavior, it still isn't going to matter to the majority of the population. Look at it this way, DNA isn't determinative. Messenger RNA plays an important role. We are 98% genetically identical to chimps. They have the same gene that tells cells to become hair that we do, the same genes that tells cells to become arm bones. However, the messenger RNA tells how long that gene or set of genes should be switched on. Thus the chimps have more hair and longer arms. So suppose there is a set of men genes. Only in the alpha males is the set on long enough to become a pattern that isn't susceptible to environmental influences. You give an alpha male boy a barbie doll and he'll play with it like it was a weapon. Other boys see this and identifying with the alpha, they imitate his behavior. But in terms of Hard-wiring, most of us are in the middle of the bell curve, a mixture of "female" and "male" traits. The vast generalities expounded by the Mars/Venus myth may be useful in making some societal, anthropological statements, but they won't be helpful to most of us individuals in our day to day encounters with the opposite gender.

No. Men come from their parents. Women come from their parents to. Men are from mars and women are from venus is just a saying.

In the more philosophical gist of things, most of the souls currently in residence here on earth, whether male or female , have come from the more localized 'well of souls' which I will here refer to a Sol after the local star. However, an occasional soul may travel from a distant origination point, sometimes many galaxies away, and be Incorporated into an incarnation on this world, which may lead people to suppose that one such incarnation would be from 'another planet' so to speak.I have had the pleasure of knowing many of these transplanted souls in my many travels to this world called Earth, and find them to be a welcome respite to the repetitious nature of the indigent souls from the Sol region.

Figuratively, yes. Men's brains work differently from women's. They see the world differently. They solve problems differently. They think of everything differently. But literally, no, they both come from their parents.
