Morality is something that defines you. The amount of understanding and degree of respect you pay towards this, counts how better a person you are in respect to the soceity, culture, and above all family. Without moral ethics ure a lost person.

Ethics is something only you can practice its not something that can be enforced.
And by being vertuous you can eventually stop being such an efficient radiator of negative emotions ... as many people are...
Which by the way has a snowball effect......
I think there is some relevance in setting rules as these are a like an indicator of what the average person expects and knowing these things helps one get on in life.... positively....
But a little common sense (too much for many) is often better than a hard and fast rule.

I really believe that the ultimate root of any moral or ethic is found in our eternal nature and eternal self. It is ultimately not a criticism or faultfinding issue.

We can mechanically attempt to be moral and ethical. That is good. That puts us in line with our eternal nature. If we do not act with concern for all things living or other, then that goes against the core of our existence which is all good.

Our eternal self is all good just as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the ultimate personal singularity, is All Good. Goodness is a positive trait in any personality.

However, if we achieve full realization of our eternal self then we are automatically moral ethical without mechanical endeavor.
