She wasn’t quite pretty enough
to be someone’s trophy wife.

So she focused on her talents
and ended up with a life.

Not a bad effort
But like the poet from Japan
My poems never read well
Because I always try to fit just as many words into the final line as I possibly can

I don't think Gill234 quite got exactly what you meant. The poem was brilliant by the way. Short and sweet.
