vonage is a high speed phone sevice operating at 90 kbs.
as some one else has mentioned I think you bought a vonage phone router. I have a wireless router for my computer and its a linksys WRT 54GS V4 A vonage router will have 1-4 ethernet connections an internet connection and two phone connections labled phone 1 and phone 2 Hope this helps you!

You don't necessarily need that company.

Who says you need to get Vonage? Somebody's pullin' your chain!!! You can get routers that are Vonage capable, but I don't think that it is required.
