It's undefined for x = 0 or 1 or -1. Those are the zeros of the denominator. Good luck!

x^3 - x = x(x^2-1) = x(x+1)(x-1)

So (x-7)/ (x^3-x) = (x-7) / (x(x+1)(x-1))

which is discontinuous(undefined) at x=0, x= -1 and x=1.since the denominator would be zero, and division by 0 is undefined.

set denominator equal to zero x(x^2-1) = 0

x = 0, 1, -1

x-7/(x(x-1)(x+1))
then undefind mean x(x-1)(x+1)<>0
x=0 x=1 x=-1 are the undefind value of x
