From what I've read extraverts outnumber introverts at a ratio of 3 or 4 to 1, and thus have much more influence over what is considered socially acceptable and psychologically healthy. How do you think things would be different if the tables were turned? Please, answer the question on any level of thought that you see fit and declare if you think you are more of an extravert or introvert. I consider myself a natural introvert with good extravert skills.

I am definately an introvert. I've taken a few personality tests on the internet, and have been classified as an INTJ type personality, aka "the scientist," 2.1% of the population.

Now that that's out of the way, I think that it would be difficult to ever have a world with more introverts because extroverts, being more people prone, are more likely to survive in the wilderness (by being closer to a group and more liked) and more likely to have children, even today.

But if for some reason, suddenly there were more introverts, mental things would be treasured more, because introverts live in thier minds more. But then, what would happen to the public, I wonder, if the majority of the world is introverted? We would probably be more polite towards each other and be less prone to fighting because we would prefer to keep to ourselves more. There might be less crime and/or violence. I know I would like it.

I think the world would be a much happier place, people would take the time to know other people..not to rush through everything so they can get too the next thing....the introverted world would surely not contemplate WAR....a race of introverts wouldn't move so fast ( technology wise) ...I think the extravert's get to far ahead of themselves..and don't realize the damage we do..and eventually when we finally do .it's a bit to late,I'm a mostly introverted person and occasionally on the extroverted side..

Well, I am more of an introvert but sometimes an extravert. But I think if the tables were turned, it would be dead boring! It's thru extravert that we meet different people and make friends. If there were more of introverts, it would feel like the world's going slower! So, I don't think it would be a positive change..

that is a really good question...you should get like a million points for asking an intelligent question...
when i first think of introverted people being the majority, i would wonder who would get to the stop sign first at a 4 way stop...cuz someone's got to, n you always have someone (extrovert) who thinks "i'll get there first so i can get there and go first" then someone (introvert) who thinks "i'll slow down so the other person can get there first so there's no confusion on who goes first"....
I'm an introvert but when I get comfortable with people I can be outgoing.
