Is breast feeding healthier for the baby, then buying the stuff at the store. I just want to make sure they are still getting all the vitamins and minerals they are supposed to. Also, can you refrigerate your breast milk so someone else can feed the baby at a later time?

Congrats on the baby!
Yes, breastfeeding is healthier. I know the formula at the store adds vitamins and stuff to make it like breastfeeding, but there is one HUGE difference that no formula can fake: Mom's immunities! All of your antibodies are passed through the milk into baby's body, so he/she is healthier. You can refrigerate and freeze it for a reasonable amount of time. Breast Milk will last about a week in the refrigerator and up to six months in a freezer. However, once thawed, you can't refreeze it! There are many benefits to both baby and mom with breastfeeding. My personal favorite was the speedy weight loss!
Good Luck!

Yes, breastfeeding is healthier for your baby! Even if you can' the entire first year, try to atleast the first 6 weeks...however if you can pump and freeze it will be way better for your child, and way better on your wallet as well!

you can refrigerate and even freeze your breast milk for later feedings.

My sister breast fed my niece and she would freeze it fevery once in a while and bring it to my mom when she would have my niece for a weekend to feed her so she was getting the same nutrition.

However if you smoke, drink, take medication and stuff like that it will be passed on in the breast milk, so that will take from the healthy factor.

Hope this helps

Store bought formula is just a good as your breast milk. It has all that you can provide, some prefer the bonding experience that goes hand in hand with breast feeding. I did both and both of my children are healthy, don't get sick very often. And yes, you can freeze breast milk, refrigerate for your husband or others to feed your baby. The choice is yours, but both are healthy for your baby.

It is healthier and more sterile for the baby. You can refrigerate or freeze your breast milk for others to be able in helping you with feedings. Another great benefit of breastfeeding is that it is cheaper than formula. But if you can't breastfeed it's ok formula has everything a baby needs to grow and develop. I could only breastfeed for 4 months with my daughter, and they say if you can at least breastfeed for 6 months they get everything they need.

it is healthier and yes you can pump it and freeze it or refrigerate it. Make sure you ask either your pediatrician or a lactation consultant for the proper way and time limits to storing breast milk so that you don't make your baby sick. But you should know that your baby can get all the minerals and vitamins they need from formula. what they won't get is the added boost of immunity from you.

breast feeding has advantages, but ultimately it is your decision. the biggest reason i would recommend doing it for at least 2 months is to help strengthen the baby's immune system. otherwise, breastfeeding is entirely your decision, and yours alone. formula nowadays has the essential nutrients found in breastmilk, including dha and ara. formula also gives the father more of a chance to play an active role in feeding and bonding with the baby and thus giving you a break from time to time. for some women, breastfeeding is unenjoyable, painful, difficult and sometimes makes it difficult to even leave the house for a couple of hours. other women love it finding it very convient. i do recommend giving a chance for a month or two, and make a decision from there. and yes, you can refridgerate breast milk. one problem with pumping and breastfeeding is you are doing twice the work and since it takes a couple of hours for your milk supple to replenish, you may find it difficult to keep up with the demand from your baby.

Yes it is way healthier then formula. I breast feed cause i new it was better for my son but I wasnt able to provide enough milk for him cause he was such a big boy at birth. Then he wasn't able to latch on right I tried everything. If you can go with breasfeeding its good for your child at least 3 months if you can go longer even better.

Yes you can refridgerate your breast milk up to 4 days and freeze it for up to 3 months. Make sure breast milk is far to the back cause you frequently open the fridge and can make the milk sour and write the dates on the bags use the oldest bags first.

Good luck and enjoy the time shared with your child I did.

breast feeding is much better for the baby than anything else you could ever feed it. Breast feeding is very convient too, no bottles to pack when you go out and no bottles to heat in the middle of the night.

You can use a breast pump and fill bottles for later like while your at work or on the night's daddy has to wake up and feed the baby.

Breast milk is the absolute perfect nutrition for your baby. This is the way God intended for it to be. It will protect your child from illnesses. It will form a bond between you & your child. Yes, you can pump your breasts and refrigerate your milk for a later time. No more than 48 hours. Bravo for wanting to do this for your child.

Yes breast milk is healthier. If you are concerned about the baby's vitamin intake, buy Polyvisol ( baby vitamin) and give him/her the recommended dosage daily. Our pediatrician told me to do that when I was breast feeding my son!!
