SMALL TALK

by Me

I talk.
You talk.
We talk.
We're pleased.

He talks.
She talks.
They talk.
They're pleased.

Do you ever get the feeling
people don't know how to listen?

I listen and observe actually. I rarely talk that much. But everyone in my family always has a million words a mintue to say and yet nothing ever gets done because, no one has listened to anything but me.

Wow, I like this. I mean, yes, it's very simple in its construction, but I get your point. Like, as long as everyone thinks they're being heard, they don't care to listen to anybody else. Is that close to what you're getting at? Oh and, btw, thanks for the SHORT poem. My attention span isn't long enough to read the uber-long ones.
