Okay I live in a Mormon community (I'm not mormon) and everyone looks down on me. Why? I think that is just plain rude. Everyone around makes rude comments when they see my family outside playing on a Sunday. They make my family feel unwanted. Why do they do this to us??? It makes me think Mormons are a good for nothing religion.

I am mormon and I can tell you that not all of us are like that. There are some though, as in any religion, that believe that they are better than others but, that doesn't mean that they hate you. My mom is not mormon and her town is very "clicky", she has the same problem. I should tell you though that it is not the religion that makes people like that, it is people that make people like that. We live in a community full of baptists and mormons and we have the same issues with the baptists. They even refuse their kids to play in the park when we are. You shouldn't hate the religion though because some people are full of themselves. If it is really bad you could always find out what ward you are in, a ward is the area that you live in, and talk to the bishop for that ward. Make him aware of what is happening and you will probably see a change. If you don't know what ward you are in you can always ask a friendly neighbor since they are probably in the same ward. You'll find that we are not all rude. I hope this helps.

Iam soooo sorry you have to live with that each and everyday! ITS SOOOOO wrong for them to treat you like an outsider when this is your home! I think alot of them believe it IS MORMON COUNTRY so everyone knows thaty is only for THEM! They think they r special and can have their very own little peice of land in America! WRONG! Thats the worst thing about religion! Everyone has different views and it makes life even harder! I say just be yourself and ignore all the MORONS oops I mean MORMONS! lol Do what u know is right and who cares what they think? Good luck to u

i ersonally believe that most (not all) mormon people are snobby no offense to anyone mormon i am just stating my opinion. but sometimes they believe so deeply in their religion that they start to look down on people who believe the same thing. its not that they dont like you its just they are to narrow minded to really understand normal society

some people are just that way, but you need to realize that you don't have to fall into their trap of rudeness. You need to be the bigger person you do not have to impress these people so don't have fun with your family not having you for a friend is their loss so they will just have to get over themselves.

i also have this issue but instead or mormons its rich people who think there better than everyone else. They are just bitter and mean.
