Why do some people act so ignorant and stupid? Is it possible that some people can go from intelligent to stupid? Or is it something else? Like a defense mechanism?

Sometimes it may be nervousness. I have used the pretense of stupidity to diffuse a difficult situation, as some people will say a lot of things, good and bad, when they think that you have no idea what they are talking about. This is when I put on my stupified face and am ROTFL inside! Personal satisfaction!

Why do some people act so ignorant and stupid?
Some people are just naturally ignorant, and other have something else going on in their life,were brought up that way, have suffered mental or physical abuse, have personal issues, or are just naturally rude.
Is it possible that some people can go from intelligent to stupid?
I beleive so yes, especially when something else is going on in their life. Or if they are jelious of you for something.
It could be a defense mechanism, they could be using their rudeness as a sheild.
Look at the ignorance already in here?! Ignorance towards Christians. This question had nothing to do with religion.
People can be rude but you can't let it get to you. When its a friend or someone close to you it can be hard.

Seriously though, we all screw up once in a while. The intelligent among us learn from the experience and try not to do it again. The stupid, develop a sense of deja-vu....

because they don't know anything else.people act stupid because they are stupid.They don't believe on themselves.yes people can b intelligent after being stupid,as life teaches a lot to people.If they wanna take advantage ,they do take.

Many "seem" intelligent until they open their mouths.
