I am new to this forum -- 2 days. I always read answers, and usually only respond if I have something worthwhile to add. Most of the time other people have answered much better than I could. I keep track of most of what I have looked at and then vote. After I vote, I look to see how other people voted. (It took me a few hours before I discovered I could do that.)
I didn't understand what I was joining when I joined. I was interested in learning -- not telling everyone else what I think I know. Sometimes there are some bad answers that I feel I can't ignore, like when someone is having a computer problem and someone else tells that person to go to msdos and type "format C:" Also, you have to have to answer questions if you want enough points to get to level 2. Otherwise, when you try to vote, you get a message that you have voted too many times today.

For the most part, i read the answers. If I weren't interested in the question and response, I wouldn't even look at the question. There have been a few times when I was just able to post an answer and had to dash, but I always put it on my watch list, so I can come back later and see what others say.
I do try and post my answer before I read anyone else's.....that way I'm not influenced......

If there are under 5 answers I read and see if I agree.
sometimes I will answer and other times
I go on to another question so as not to waste time I prefer to answer within the top 10 or so most often.. but some times I will be answering a fresh q and buy the time I do a search or type up I may be the 20th to post.
I mainly try to give a good answer every time and especially to the things that interest me also.

I normally read before I post and sometimes Just click on a question to read the answers to an interesting question to learn more but do not post an answer as I'm not familiar with the subject. Sometimes after reading a question I do not post if it is a hard question to answer and they have some good answers I agree with.

I do both, I like to read other peoples comments and then post my own, although by the time mine is posted there are always like 6 times the amount of answers as before...
Like when I first posted there were 14 and now there are like 39... guess it is only like 2 times but same basic concept...

I post my answer, then I also read others answers. If I found the question interesting enough to answer, I like to read all the answers as I may learn something new. Or get a good laugh! :)

If there are other answers before I post. I scan them and read certain ones. If not then I usually don't stay and wait for someone else to answer unless the question is very interesting.

i read the answers except the excessively long ones or anything that looks preachy. when i see a question with more than 50 answers i don't even bother because i know if i don't want to read that many chances are the asker won't either and will never get to my answer anyway.

I always read the other answers. I'm curious to read how other people interpreted the question and also if anyone posted an answer similar to mine.
