Yes- Mt. Rushmore, Deadwood, Custer Battlefield, Crazy Horse Memorial, Badlands National Park, Black Hills.

And if at all possible, go when the monster Motorcycle rally happens in Sturgis. It's an amazing experience!

I agree with Mt. Rushmore & Crazy Horse -- don't miss either. Deadwood is a cool old Western town. For off-the-beaten track you can drive east on Highway 14 and visit Laura Ingalls Wilder's family homestead and hometown (DeSmet, SD). Only for "Little House" fans, though. Badlands are beautiful and you can see a good amount just on a drive-through. The Corn Palace in Mitchell is really cool, too! It's a building upholstered in dried corn!

The only place to go is the Black Hills. It's the switerland of the USA!!! Come at the beginning of aug. and there is a total motorcycle takeover! What could get better than a sea of chrome and leather!!!!!!

I haven't been there in years, but Mount Rushmore, Badlands,
Mitchell's Corn Palace. Just the scenary is GREAT, no humidity either.

You MUST take in the Mitchell Corn Palace. The outside is decored in murals made from corn.
