Hi Kimberly ;) I think people naturally want to get along with each other and want to be liked and will try to do good things to achieve this, but feelings of envy, jealousy, greed, lust, etc... are also very natural and lead us to do evil things. Education, philosphy and meditation are necessary to help overcome our evil tendancies and to encourage our goodness. ;)

I think all humans are naturally good...but with a great tendency to do evil things...hey look, nobody's free from sins, even the greatest saints arent sin-free! And that's just what being humans is all about. Only angels are sinless. That's because they don't have desires (this doesnt mean we shouldnt have desires, we just need to channel our desires appropriately). Sometimes doing evil things can be a little exciting (though disturbing if you're not used to it) and like everything else, you'd get used to doing it if you do it over and over that evil doesnt feel so evil anymore.
However, despite the fact that we're all humans that are full of flaws and tendency to do evil, we also have as much tendency to do good as well, and God has created us as such. We're also endowed with the 'intellect' capacity that enables us to think of the consequences our actions might bring, something precious that animals dont have. That's why sometimes we see even the worst of people can repent and be good. Well, hope I've been a help =)

We are, by nature, evil.
If a child is not told/trained to do what is good, it naturally does what is wrong. You might say "Well, that's because they don't know any better." That's right. They don't. "Know" implies "teach", meaning if they are to "know" that they aren't supposed to do wrong, it means that they were taught to do right. EDIT: By the way, "teach" would also imply being influenced (teaching IS the act of influencing new ideas, after all) so the child's surroundings can also play a part in the "good" transformation.
You know how when someone wrongs you, the first thing you want to do is get them back? That is an evil, or "wrong" impulse. If we were good by nature, then the first thing you would want to do after being wronged is to do something nice for the person. If you are wronged, and you don't want to wrong that person back, it is because you have taught and disciplined yourself to be that way. This is why I think that we are by nature, evil, and we have to teach ourselves to be good.

Humans have yin and yang. Our choices can be good or bad and have good or bad consequences. Some people with poor role models or mental health problems may appear to have many negative characteristics or seem to be evil. Some just have a little more of one than the other.

Naturally all humans are good.. Only the companions decide whether a person turns evil or not.. As goes the famous saying " Tell me who r ur companions , i will tell about u"

I think you'll find a little of both. It all depends on surroundings and situations that people are put in. Ask yourself what would push you over into doing something evil. Is a mother protecting her child from a killer. evil? Is self defense evil. In some court cases it is.

All humans have the capacity for evil as much as they have the capacity for good. It depends on the social influences of the individual and their intensity, what sources of persuasion & conformity are present. However all humans act in self interest, bottom line.

Naturally, I think humans are animalistic. Without our technology and protective infastructures, we would revert to animals. Animals have no sense of propriety, morality, right/wrong etc. Without those things, people would kill, steal, harm and betray without hesitation. Our superego, our sense of social propriety and empathy keeps us on the straight and narrow. But if you strip away those higher brain functions and force us to rely on our more natural and primitive drives, what would be left is an animal, possessing traits that most people would call "evil."

it depends of course on what you consider evil and good, but i'd say evil.
i think our nature is to put ourselves before all others, because that is how we evolved, and that is the most sure way to survive. So then you may call this SELFISHNESS, which is EVIL.
