I ran over/bumped off the road a Monkjack Deer with my company car.
The deer was in my lane as I rounded a bend doing about 60mph, and there were cars coming the other way so it was unavoidable.
I'd only been in the job a few months so my initial reaction was "oh sh*t!". I didn't really think about the deer until a few hours after, then I felt a bit sorry for it

I once ran over two dogs at the same time. It was almost sunset and the sun blinded me. I looked for the owner and talked to people who had seen it . They said there was nothing i could have done about it; that the dogs had been running in front of cars a lot and it was just a matter of time. But that didn't make me feel much better.

I hit a bird once. It just swooped in front of my windshield. I was only going 25 mph and I still couldn't stop. I felt horrible for weeks. I actually went back and looked for the bird so I could at least take it to a wooded area so it wouldn't continuously be run over by cars. But, I couldn't find it:(

well, I've never run over an animal before but we did run into a deer. my family and I were on our way home and driving down the highway at night, doing 70-80 miles an hour... a stupid deer ran right out in front of us... I was sitting in the front seat and had my legs up on the dashboard and when the air bag came out it smacked my butt really hard. it hurt for a couple of seconds but the smoke from the car was worse.

I accidently ran over Thumper....I'm one of those ppl that will slow down or stop if I see an animal getting ready to run in front of the car....but the rabbit didn't stand a chance....first and only time I ran over an animal....after I did I had to pull over because I started vomiting and crying for what I did....R.I.P Thumper

Yes, I've run over a few animals over the years. One was a raccoon and I did not kill him out-right but I could see it was seriously injured, so I quickly backed over him to put him out of his misery. I felt very bad and guilty, but I thought it was the right thing to do. The other 2 times were dear, and I was less sorry for them (although it is a shame that their land is being over-developed) and more angry about the damage to my car.

I hit a squirrel on my bike once and almost flew over the handlebars!! I got the control back just in time to see it scuttle off all dazed. As for the cat...accidents happen man..you didn't do it on purpose...a good man once said "guilt is like a bag of bricks...all you gotta do is out it down." Wait...that was the devil that said that. My point is still valid though....

Cat. Deer. Squirrel. All by accident. Honestly, I tried to run over a car-jacker that had a gun but he realized I wasn't going to be easy. And it was on an interstate highway of all places. What a fool.
