This is kind of weird....but I must say I have seen weirder...
Anyway, I sweat really bad under my arms. It's really embarrassing to raise your hand to do something and have huge sweat marks. It's something I hate about myslef. I can never wear T-shirts or long sleeved shirts without them. hmmm, now that I've humiliated myself, do you guys know of any good deodorants or have any ideas to help???

Girlfriend, you are not alone!!!! I had the same problem, and my Sister in Law clued me into Certain Dri! It works!!!! You apply it every 72 hours, and it keeps you sooo dry. I never sweat anymore. It's great. Especially in dress blouses and form fitting t-shirts. You know how nasty those sweat rings are. Well, this product you can get anywhere (I purchase mine at Target), for about $6. It's so worth it. The only other expensive option is to have your sweat glands removed through surgery, or some women are even having botox shot into their armpits to stop the sweating. I think that is insane when there's Certain Dri. I wish I could be their spokesperson! It's that great of a product.

Depending on your age (puberty, hormones, etc.) it may be something that calms down after a few years. When I was etween 15 and 17 I had that problem.
Most of the deodorants work pretty good. The ones with Aluminum Chlorhydrate seem to work best to control dampness. Personally, I have found its important to wash thoroughly before using them, as there can be itching otherwise.
If it is really extreme, I believe there is a medical condition indicated. Your family doctor (or perhaps the school nurse) could help you determine if that is the case.
Isn't the internet great? No one knows who you are on here....

~You might want to talk to a doctor about this. There are various medical conditions that cause excessive sweating, including some that are serious and require medical attention, as well as some that are very simple and can be fixed easily.
Before you start changing deodorants, see your doctor. Be sure to tell him/her how long this has been going on and the deodorant you are presently using.

Adjoadjo is right. Use Certain Dri. It seems to be prescription strength. There are also some items like ultra-thin pads that are made for the underarm area of clothing so that you no longer ruin pretty blouses. You, too, can wear silk! Those pads can be found in the lingerie section of stores.

After you bathe or shower, try using "Shower to Shower" body deodorant powder or regular Baby powder. Apply it directly to your underarms after using a roll-on deodorant. It's a bit messy, but it has helped me in the past.

Dove has a really good new deoderant, go to dove.com they may have free samples of it. If deoderants aren't working you can get botox injections (I know it sounds weird). Apparently they help prevent excessive swaeting though.

oooh, i know that feeling... i've found that the gel like deodorants dont work for me and i havent tried the aerosols... but as far as brands go, secret and dove have worked well... but like someone said before, you might want to try different brands to see what works well for you... test out those trial sizes! :D best of luck...

If you can afford it, do the botox thing. They put shots under your arms and it keeps you from sweating so much.

The best thing to do is Buy a Large number of them and try each and see what works best!!!
Unfortunately, deodoants have to work with YOUR uniqueness.... so try a large number and you will find the right one.
