You can be a millionaire before you die (assuming that's 65+) if you just get a decent middle-income job, work hard, save diligently, and make wise investments. A million dollars isn't what it used to be, kiddo. But if you are asking how to be rich, of the kind of rich that allows you to spend money lavishly on yourself along the way (as opposed to the "carefully guarding your portfolio and bagging your lunch" kind of rich that you get to in tiny daily increments), that takes a huge deal of both luck and willingness to take risks and fail. If you're afraid of failing, you're destined for mediocrisy. But is most everyone else out there.
