do you think the GOP have been thinking about their own careers, or are they really afraid that Bush has just made too many mistakes?

It has already begun.

Republicans are ripping him apart on his Mideast policy, his stem-cell veto, the Dubai ports deal, etc.

Think of the pressing issues America faces. Millions without health insurance. A vanishing middle class. Exploding gas prices. The quagmire in Iraq. Yet, Republicans would rather focus on flag burning? Because, apparently, there's no greater threat to American democracy than a burning flag. Or two loving people getting married. Or the "sanctity of life", as long as it applies to only the unborn.

In reality, the threat that worries Republicans most is losing their majority. They're not blind. They see the same numbers Democrats do. So, what do they do? They panic.

Americans want a lot of things out of their leaders. They want honesty. They want integrity. They want ability. What Americans don't want is panic. But panic, sadly, is what they're getting in massive doses from the Republican Party. In these challenging times, is panic the trait you want most associated with the party in power? I doubt it.

Republicans can't even cut farts. Besides if they are smart they'll run from Bush faster then a crack head at an intervention.

America has spoken and they have said so far in a 3 - 1 margin that the conservatives services are no longer needed.

The only way they feel they can salvage any hope is to separate themselves from Bush. The only people who'll want support from Bush are the same republicans who think that Bush can rig the elections for them. I mean lets face it, nobody can rig an election like the Bush family.

I guess you can say if your a republican then Bush is like a smelly Sister. You acknowledge that your family, and even when she makes dumb decisions you try to stand by her. But if you want to get laid you sure as hell won't be seen in public with her.

I think that the GOP is pretty pissed at Bush. He has made the entire party look pretty bad. And, he has taken some fairly controversial positions (ie- vetoing the stem cell bill and immigration). I predict that the GOP will distance itself from Bush in the near future.

George Bush cannot run for President again. I would support his brother if he ran. Just a reminder, people can only be elected twice to the presidency.

I believe any politician looking to be re-elected in the mid-term elections will distance himself from Bush. Unless something dramatic happens to make Bush's approval ratings soar, he's a liability - and politicians will always cover their own butts first.

A well-respected Republican senator just announced yesterday that he will introduce a bill to SUE President Bush for signing documents that violated the U.S. Constitution!

Bush has committed unspeakable atrocities and abuses during his terms in office. His is the most corrupt, evil, incompetent administration ever to occupy the White House, in collusion with the most evil, incompetent, cowardly, corrupt U.S. Congress ever to occupy Capitol Hill.

Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld should all be tried for high treason and then taken before an international tribunal and tried for crimes against humanity. If convicted, they should face a public firing squad, as should all 535 members of the U.S. Congress, who have allowed this carnage to continue and gone along with it for the sake of their own careers. -RKO-
