Creationism, Intelligent Design, Evolution are all "theories" (not arguing this point...) on creation (how things were created). The issue remains "how did things start?" This, however, is a point of THEOLOGY. Why, then, is there a debate of what should go into the SCIENCE classes? Evolution is FACT (look at bacteria and their resistance to antibotics). Shouldn't it then be taught not as the start of life but as an occuring phenomena?

one would think so, and until a few years ago, and the rise of the ignorant fundamentalists with too much money, it was taught in science as fact.

Evolution does not preclude a starting point for the Universe nor even a creator. In fact a supreme being could have easily set evolution in motion for us to discover.

The above poster is correct. Evolution is simply one of countless observable phenomena of the universe. It can explain how species changed over epochs of time but cannot sufficiently explain the origins of species nor of the universe as a whole.

well in my opinion "theories" origin must be thought, because it is the background for all the phonomena occuring, how you can face those phonomena if you domt' know them. like for example in basketball games coaches scout their opponents so they can have strategy to beat their incoming opponent. the scouting is the theory here and the comiing game is the occuring phenomena to be able to face it preparely.

this is just my opinion

All religious people would like to have the "faiths" as a "fact" when there is no evidence to back it up. Although, I open my mind to them and listen... so I can better my understanding of my enemy.... IGNORANCE !!!
