IM PRETTY SURE WITHOUT ROCKET POWERED CARS I BELIVE ITS THE THE MCLAREN F-1 ITS A SINGLE SEATER ITS BADASS THE FASTED PRODUCTION TRUCK ON THE ROAD IS THE DODGE RAM SRT-10 500 HP VIPER MOTOR! JUST THOUGHT IN CASE U WONDERED ABOUT THE FASTEST TRUCK

Do you mean highest speed or fastest acceleration? I remember a 0-100-0 contest once for the fastest car that could go from 0 to 100mph and then brake to 0. That was a 1969 Cobra at about 10sec and none of the other test cars were even close. The Dodge Charger couldn't even get to 100mph given the size of the track.
The jet cars on the salt beds go over 600mph. Does that count? They are not production cars. Rails have very quick acceleration.

Some guy in Germany has a custom built car just to cruise the autobahn that goes to 400 KPH. Had to have a custom built Speedo that would go beyond 400 Kph. Basically a street legal race car that seats 2. I saw it on the Discovery channel 2 nights ago. Claims to be the world's fastest street legal car.

The fastest actual CAR is a mclauren gt the F1 cars can get up to 300MPH+
(GTOCAP) THe mclauren goes 0-100 in 7.5 seconds...
