Since when is cereal cerial?

do people just not know how to spell cereal or is there some new trend I don't know about?

Somebody in a community I'm in spelled it "C-E-R-I-A-L" I searched it here and quite a few questions about the breakfast food spell it that way as well.

They are more than likely just a bad speller.
