Of course. 16-18 year old girls represent femininity at it's most powerful. On a biological level, many features found in younger women raise little red flags in the male brain. "Reproduce with her: she's fertile; she's young, so she'll live long to care for children." It's evolution.
Personally, I think the age should be lowered to 16. Younger than that, kids aren't quite mature enough to make a real decision, but I think that by the time they turn 16, most girls are wise enough to say no if they really don't want to go through with it.

Yes it is "normal" to be attracted and yes it was considered normal to marry younger women before. I would even go further and remember that in nature, females become sexually active as soon as they can breed, around the time of the first menstruation.
However, humans live in a civilization context that evolves much faster than our biological bodies. From the older male's point of view, this means that the woman is more that a reproductive partner. Also, in this social context of our days (maybe, as opposed to 50 years ago) males and females continue to mature after they become adults because we are more intellectualized. A 30 year old man that can feel fully satisfied with a 20 year old female is probably someone that has not matured at the same rate of most males.
From the younger female's point of view, getting married and starting a family before her time, will seriously hamper her chances of evolving into the plenitude that could have been. Her development as a social participant will be asphyxiated by this context unless she were to marry a kind of man that probably wouldn't feel attracted to her in first place.

Age does not come in between the marriage. If both love each other honestly, then what you have asked could happen and normal.
But, at this young age, girls adore who ever is kind and get close, be others or relatives.Their minds will be immature and cannot the judge the intentions of the person. Once, they grow up, they come out of this immaturity, can judge a person, and develop relationship.

My hubby is 15 yrs older than I, & I was 20 when I married him.
as for you though, normal, maybe. Right=No. If you were talkin about 1 girl would have different lecture, but 16-17 are young girls just starting to come into their sexualites & developing at a much faster rate. They r not even close to being experienced emotionally to make it acceptable for you to act on your emotions.
Look if u must but don't touch pls.

Did you ask "abnormal". Why would an adult want to be with a child? A thirty year old still has everyone 20 - 29 and they are adults. Think about what that REALLY means. Stay away from the high schools... and Date Line...

you can be attracted to them- the kids these days are a little more grown up than in our day-
It becomes hard to deal with if you ACT upon those attractions!!
18 she's grown up- 16-17 acting upon them may have legal impact!!

I think it's normal to be attracted to someone younger than you, but if they aren't legal age, then they best stay away. It could be nothing other than a fling.

You sure have lots of excuses for being a pervert, don't you?
It's alot easier to take advantage of a little girl than a woman your own age.
