Apart from the person who asked the question and maybe a dozen people who answer the question after you, probably nobody else will ever see your answer. So why spend so much time on it?

Some people refuse to do anything half assed. Personally I get a sense of satisfaction from providing a correct, informative and thorough answer, not only to get the best answer (although that is the point) but to do everything to the best of my ability, I do not respect people who have the "thats good enough" attitude. I do everything in my life with passion and fervor and I do not care how many people read it but rather I hope the one person it was meant for recieved an excellent answer or explanation that made thier day and satisfied thier curiosity to the fullest extent.

Because the purpose of this site is NOT to collect points but to help people or share ideas, views and opinions. Unfortunately, most users are just greedy and only care about points, despite the fact that points are completely USELESS. This is supposed to be a fun pastime, not a competition. There's no reason to give quick and useless answers, such as "I don't know" or "I don't care"....But it's really sad that people give such answers all the time

I have spent a lot of time answering certain questions on here because I hope that if I ever get stumped or need information that someone will do the same for me.

anybody interested to a question would spare the few seconds to answer them. some people, like me, do read some, if not all, the answers posted to a certain question. i also take time to view the asker's profile and look up some of their posted answers and questions. it's an entertaining form of education.
